Stirchleyhup! project details
A faster way to extend a home
hup! offers a simpler and faster alternative to conventional building methods, with advanced technology that accurately recreates the appearance of a traditional extension. It is Five times faster to build and Five times more energy efficient than the average UK home.
These benefits appealed to the Stirchley homeowner, who wanted to ease the pressure on their existing layout by adding a comfortable new living and dining area.
Confidence inspired by other hup! homeowners
Before making their decision, the homeowner explored completed projects and read about the experiences of existing hup! customers, including Mrs Bell and Dale. These examples demonstrated how hup! could deliver the space, comfort and high-quality finish they wanted.
Working with the 5 Star design team, they developed a detailed proposal showing how the finished extension would look and connect with the adjoining room.
An Ultraroof with two glass panels
Five Star discussed the available roofing options before the homeowner selected an Ultraroof with two glass panels. This design brings natural light into the extension while maintaining the comfortable indoor environment needed for year-round use.
A brick-mesh finish gives the exterior the authentic appearance of a conventional brick extension. White sliding patio doors face the garden, allowing the room to open onto the outdoor space during the warmer months.
One builder managing the entire project
Disruption inside the home was kept to a minimum because the hup! structure could be assembled quickly and efficiently. Its rapid connection technology also meant that the main structure took shape considerably faster than it would with conventional building methods.
As the homeowner’s hup! builder, 5 Star managed the project from the base works and construction through to the roof, glazing, electrics and flooring. This removed the need to coordinate multiple external tradespeople and provided one clear point of contact throughout the build.
Designed to connect with the existing home
The completed hup! extension integrates seamlessly with the adjoining room, creating a more spacious and practical ground-floor layout. Its super-insulated walls and roof help maintain a comfortable temperature throughout the seasons.
During the day, the roof glazing and sliding patio doors fill the extension with natural light. In the evening, integrated ceiling spotlights create a warm and relaxing atmosphere for dining and unwinding.
A bright new room for year-round living
The finished extension has given the homeowner the additional space they needed without the prolonged upheaval they had expected. It provides a bright, welcoming room that can be enjoyed for dining, relaxing and spending time with family.
By choosing hup!, they achieved the appearance and comfort of a high-quality modern extension through a much quicker and simpler building process.

For homeowners, hup! is completely game changing. People often ask how they can add an extension or rebuild their unusable conservatory in the most efficient way possible, hup! is definitely the answer. I’ve been blown away by the engineering behind the whole thing. Not only is it just a brilliant system, the great thing about it is - it’s so quick.
It was a great experience working with 5 Star for my extension building. The team is professional and they always kept me updated with a clear work schedule.
